We’ve decided to install the new PHP 5 version on our newest server a few days ago, and upcoming servers in the future. PHP 5 brings about several new features, security updates and enhancements, not previously seen with the 4.x series. Due to potential compatibility conflicts, we’ve only installed the new version on the PRIMUS server, which is a server currently used for new clients since May-June 2006. Eventually, in coming months, depending on demand and/or feasibility, all servers will be upgraded. We’re also thinking of installing PHP 4 and 5 concurrently on the same server, so updates will follow.
Let us know what you think!
